"When what you love gets taken from you, you want to know the truth; when you know the truth, you can begin to take it back, what you love, that was lost."

Autism is treatable, read about the probable cause.

We learned to fight Autism by mixing published strategies from many camps. This included anti Candida/Crohns, Blood type, Feingold and GGCF diets, strategies for fighting Fybromyalgia, Autism and even understanding what supplements weightlifters use to maximize energy production. The books below were very helpful. The DAN (Defeat Autism Now) group of doctors deserve most of the credit, for leading the charge in developing and proving what treatments work.
The book "Autism" by Dr. Sidney Baker M.D. has an extended title that is not displayed by Amazon, it is called "Effective Biomedical Treatments, Have We Done Everything We Can For This Child? Individuality in An Epidemic " It is the single most important book I have ever encountered in the effort to medically treat Autism, it is the basis of the entire DAN Protocol, if you only buy one book, make this the one.
Much like Dr. Bakers book, this is an excellent overview of biomedical options for the treatment of Autism. Two heads is always better than one, and the same goes for books, this is a good cross reference and source of inspiration for further or complementary treatment options.
This is an excellent book to help get your family and friends understanding what you are up against fighting Autism as a biomedical disorder. It does not replace the Autism book by Dr Baker, (a full protocol for biomedical treatment). I highly recommended you add this book to your library.
Breaking the vicious cycle is a ground breaking book that introduces SCD, specific carb diet. It helped lead to the general understanding that gut based pathogens that can cause serious harm can be fought through the strict control of your intake of complex starches. This book has become the basis of the DAN protocol in terms of diet, with added twists of GFCF and a low salicylate diet. Other new twists include the low oxalate diet. However, when first starting out, GFCF and SCD are good places to start.
These are excellent books dealing with gut disbiosis, specifically yeast infections.
I honesty cannot say if blood type diets work, perhaps if fewer things were wrong when we first introduced this, we might have noticed a difference. We had so many compounded issues, subtle differences were difficult to notice. I am including these books as recommended since we did follow the advise contained in these books, so they may be significant to your own cause.
These books deal with introducing CGCF to your diet. They do not however address the need for low starches as dictated by the SCD Diet, so consider combining methods in a restrictive manner.

Understand the reasons behind the medical controversy around mercury in vaccinations makes it easier to understand many conditions treatment options, the choice becomes simple and clear.

If you know of a book that you feel should be on this list, click contact us on the top navigation bar and send us the title, author and isbn number if you have it, it will be evaluated for suitability and may be added to this site. Your contribution to fighting autism and other related disorders is a generous gift to those who have been affected.
